This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our OpenColorIO configurator software, services, and website (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you, the User, agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

  • User Content: Data you create or upload, such as OpenColorIO configurations or color profiles, which you fully own.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase a paid plan (e.g., subscription or other pricing model), our third-party payment processors collect billing details. We do not store your full payment information.
  • Usage and Device Information: Basic data about how you use the Services (e.g., features accessed) and your device (e.g., browser type, user-agent) to improve functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

  • Provide and improve the Services, such as processing your configurations.
  • Manage your account and authenticate logins.

Your data remains private and is not used for marketing or any unauthorized purposes.

We use standard security measures, like encryption and access controls, to protect your information and User Content. While we strive to keep your data safe, no system is fully secure. If a security issue occurs, we'll notify affected Users as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You, the User, own your User Content and can delete it anytime through the Services. Anonymous accounts store minimal data, deleted after 30 days. You may also:

  • Access or correct your personal information.
  • Delete your account and personal data, unless we're required to keep it by law.
  • Opt out of non-essential emails or analytics.

8. Data Processing Location

All information collected through the Services is processed and stored within the United States, in compliance with applicable data protection standards.

9. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed:

  • Account Information: Kept while your account is active. Delete your account anytime to remove it, except for legally required data.
  • User Content: Stored until you delete it or your account ends.
  • Anonymous Accounts: Minimal data, deleted after 30 days.
  • Usage Data: Kept only as needed to improve the Services or meet legal requirements.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll notify you, the User, of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website or in the Services at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated policy.
